FAQ

What is coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative process where a trained coach helps you explore your goals, overcome challenges, and unlock your potential. It's all about empowering you to take action, gain clarity, and create the life or changes you desire. Unlike therapy, coaching is future-focused, helping you move forward and grow in both personal and professional aspects of life.

How is coaching different than therapy?

While both coaching and therapy aim to improve well-being, coaching is more action-oriented and focuses on personal development, goals, and creating solutions for the future. Therapy often delves into past issues, emotional healing, and mental health challenges, whereas coaching is about building on strengths, tackling current challenges, and reaching new milestones.

What role does the coach play?

As your coach, my role is to be a guide, sounding board, and accountability partner. I ask powerful questions to help you gain insights, encourage you to see things from new perspectives, and offer strategies to help you move toward your goals. My job is to provide support, structure, and motivation so you can take the next steps toward the life you envision.

What role do I play?

You play the most important role in the coaching process! Coaching is a partnership, and your active participation is key to your success. You bring the goals, experiences, and challenges to the table, while I help you work through them. The more open, committed, and honest you are, the more meaningful and transformative the coaching experience will be.

How long will I need coaching?

The length of coaching depends on your goals and the areas you want to focus on. Some people work with a coach for a few sessions to gain clarity or overcome a specific challenge, while others may engage in coaching over several months to tackle bigger life or career changes. We’ll determine the right length together based on your needs.

What can I expect in a coaching session?

Each coaching session is a space where you’ll be heard and supported. We’ll start by discussing what’s on your mind, then dive into identifying your goals, uncovering any obstacles, and creating actionable steps. The sessions are interactive, and I’ll ask questions, share insights, and offer tools or techniques to help you move forward.

Will coaching be confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of coaching. Everything you share with me will remain private and safe. You can trust that our conversations will be a judgment-free zone where you can be open and honest about your challenges and goals.

What if I don’t know what my goals are?

No worries! Not knowing your goals is common, especially during periods of transition or uncertainty. One of the first things we’ll work on together is gaining clarity about what matters most to you. Through our coaching process, we’ll uncover your values, passions, and vision to create a direction that feels aligned with your authentic self.

Do I need to have specific issues to address before starting coaching?

Not at all! You don’t need to have a specific problem to work on in coaching. Many people come to coaching simply because they want to feel more fulfilled, take the next step in their career, or improve their overall life satisfaction. Coaching is for anyone looking to grow, improve, or make positive changes.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching is a great fit for you if you’re ready to make changes, take action, and are committed to your personal growth. If you’re feeling stuck, uncertain about your next steps, or simply want to live a more purposeful and aligned life, coaching can provide the support and structure you need to move forward.
